Seminar: Unlocking Alternative Marine Fuels at Sea: Ambitious Pathways, Operational Realities

Dr. WANG Jing, Sustainability Researcher of Maritime Energy & Sustainable Development (MESD) Centre of Excellence, Nanyang Technological University, whose research covers green shipping, especially in green shipping fuels has been invited as the guest speaker. 

With his comprehensive research areas and insights, Dr. WANG has brought a broad perspective of how the alternative fuels transform vessel layout and bunkering frequencies and the most significant factor on lifecycle emissions and future carbon costs. During the seminar, Dr. WANG discussed whether alternative fuels actually reduce the cost burden under the rising EU ETS charges and the IMO’s net-zero push.
